About Supercritical Foaming? First let’s know what is supercritical foaming?

We usually call it SCF shortly.Its principle is to inject supercritical fluid (such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen) into the polymer melt or solution to form uniform bubbles under high pressure. These bubbles expand as the pressure decreases, forming a foam with a microporous structure.
In plastic processing, it can be used to prepare lightweight, high-toughness and high-strength foam materials; in the textile industry, supercritical foaming can be used to prepare foam materials with microporous structure and high aerosol properties. Engineering textiles; supercritical biofoaming can also be used to prepare biomaterials with specific pore diameters and pore volumes for drug carriers and tissue engineering scaffolds.
The preparation process  includes the following steps: first, inject the polymer melt or solution into the supercritical fluid and mix it thoroughly; secondly, inject the mixture into a high-pressure container and maintain the high-pressure state; finally , controlling the foaming process by controlling factors such as pressure and temperature.
